Criag Scanlon has been surfing the coast of New England all his life and was determined to find a better way to prevent surfer's rash. A skin treatment that could help proctect his body up against the wetsuit in the winter and the boardshorts in the summer has never really been perfected. He found everything on the market was messy to apply or just absorded into the skin without giving any surface lubrication relief. In 2006 his brother Jay appraoched him to formally start a company that could solve this problem. Jay understood there was a huge need for a preventative skin treatment that was packaged with the surfer in mind. In hopes to bring the surf industry a real rash gel product line. The brothers took what worked and combined it into a gel stick called "Surf Gel."
With Criag’s knowledge of surfing and Jay’s background in business development, National Gel LLC was formed. The core mission is to keep surfing fun for those that have bad surfer's rash, it's that simple. By giving extensive commitment to all customers and retail shops around the world Surf Gel is product line made for surfers sold by surfers.
